The Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum, including the Romanesque Zdíks Palace, is closed due to building modifications, but for those interested in history and culture, it has one plus. Thanks to this, director Theodor Mojžíš was able to start filming the documentary The Bishop of Olomouc in the middle of Europe about one of the greatest personalities of the Czech lands in the first half of the 12th century - Bishop Jindřich Zdík of Olomouc (about 1083 - 1150).

"The idea for this documentary arose about twelve years ago, when we organized a large exhibition about Bishop Zdík at the Olomouc Museum of Art. The problem is that there is very little tangible material about this personality. However, the current building modifications of the Romanesque palace offer the opportunity to get literally below the surface for a period of a thousand years. We are therefore very pleased that Theodor Mojžíš took this opportunity," said Ondřej Zatloukal, director of the Olomouc Museum of Art.

The co-production film of Czech Television and Video Theo will be filmed and edited by the crew throughout next year, and if all goes well, its premiere will be broadcast by Czech Television in the spring of 2023. As a man who loves history and as a searcher for the fate of Jindřich Zdík, "adds director Theodor Mojžíš, who two years ago presented the documentary drama Baroque nobleman about the Bishop of Olomouc, Charles of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, in collaboration with the Olomouc Museum of Art.
