The Cyril and Methodius Theological Faculty of UP and the Museum of Art invite academics, students and all those interested in art and history to a unique conference entitled Czech Sacred Art in the Years 1948-1989. The series of interesting lectures will be concluded by a guided tour in the Museum of Art.

The conference can be understood as a reflection of Czech sacred art during the communist era, it will talk about art, which was reflected in the cultural and social climate of that time. The contributions will discuss modern Czech sacred art and iconographic creation in wider contexts.
