After a campfire and a night at the museum, the MUO camp ended with a vernissage

Second part of the suburban camp Forward to the past! The weather was not entirely favourable, but the lecturers, tutors and students on placement managed to carry out almost all the planned art and drama activities by Friday 4 August.

"Even the bonfire at the Olomouc Cathedral of St. Wenceslas with the roasting of sausages took place," confirmed Marek Šobáň, one of the organisers.  Thursdays programme in particular was demanding. In addition to the aforementioned bonfire, the children visited the Castle Garden and the castle in Kroměříž. In the evening, they had a night game in the exhibitions of the Archdiocesan Museum and then an overnight stay right within its walls. "We didnt even realise that we were sleeping in the museum almost on the exact day when we commemorate the anniversary of the assassination of the last Premyslid, Wenceslas III. A night in an empty museum would certainly have had a different atmosphere," smiles Šobáň.

A busy week with a rich programme ended on Friday with the traditional opening for parents and friends of the children. Visitors could see not only the works and videos created, but also a performance reminiscent of the prehistoric practice of placing sacrificial offerings in clay.
