Jiří Šalamoun | Well I never?!

January 29 – May 17, 2015
Museum of Modern Art | Cabinet, Salon

Jiří Šalamoun is probably the most prominent Czech illustrator from the second half of the 20th century. Examples of his excellent visual interpretations include Dickens The Pickwick Papers, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Sternes Tristram Shandy and Saroyans Tracys Tiger. Children love the stories of Feek the Maxidog and let‘s not forget Tolkiens Hobit and Coopers The Last of the Mohicans. And there will always be Hofmans Mr. Tau. Our exhibition, which we are preparing for the artists important anniversary, will present Šalamouns illustrations, graphics and freehand drawings.
