Painter Collector | Drawings and graphics from the collection Miloslav Holý

Views of the collections

March 8 - June 10, 2018

Paper work is one of the most numerous, systematically built collections of the Olomouc Museum of Art. However, the material nature of these works does not allow their long-term presentation. The cycle of short-term exhibitions The views of the collections, which are loosely linked to the permanent exhibition of the art of the 20th century, the Century of Relativity, are therefore gradually making their wealth and diversity available to the public. This is the case with an exhibition devoted to drawing and graphics from the collection of the famous Czech painter Miloslav Holý (1897-1974). The exhibited works of Czech and German authors from the 19th to 20th centuries reflect on one hand the scope of Holly Collectors and study interests, and on the other, the creation of his generational peers, classmates and friends.
