Vandal ripped down posters of people kidnapped by Hamas from a museum window

The posters of people kidnapped by Hamas, which were hanging in the windows of the MUO, were torn down by an unknown perpetrator at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday 12 December 2023. The museums management is considering responding to the violent action in a similar way to the kidnappings - with a happening. 

"We can use photographs from the original event when we put up portraits of the abducted people. We would probably also post the footage from the security cameras - of course we are aware that the vandal also has the right to protection of his personality, so he would not be recognizable in the images. We would like to devote a third window to the questions: why is someone defining themselves against a peaceful action that was not directed against either side of the conflict between Israel and Palestine? It was a purely humanitarian issue where we as people stood up for other people," said museum spokesman Tomáš Kasal.
