Photos from the Olomouc collections seen in Dubai

More than a dozen photographs from the collection of the Museum of Art appeared in the catalog and on the exhibition Dubai Photo Exhibition with the theme European Photography of the 20th and 21st centuries. As the only company to represent our country Josef Sudek, František Drtikol and Miroslav Hák. 

"From Miroslav Hák works are images from the mid-forties of the last century approaching war atmosphere. Josef Sudek excelled especially his still lifes reflecting the gloomy social atmosphere of Stalinist fifties. František Drtikols work then it is for many synonymous Czech foreign audiences photo, so we chose one of the many variations of stylized human figures," explained curator of photographs Štěpánka Bieleszová. 

Dubai had 18 exhibition curators, Károly Kincses prepared common Czech and Hungarian exhibition. "Photos that have been presented since March in Dubai, provided an overview of developments in Central European photography, as well as a reflection of social change, during which photographs were created," said Kincses. Museum of Art gave him for the occasion the strongest Czech photographic works.

The exhibition in Dubai launched less than ten European countries. His character by Bieleszová reminds photography festival in Arles or Month of Photography in Paris.
