In Pilsen they repeat the exhibition „Turning pages“

How has a book changed at the time of Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Surrealism or Functionalism or in the second half of the 20th century? And how a book became an independent work of art? Answers can learn visitors of the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen From 14 June to 16 October. Gallery repeat the exhibition „Turning pages“, which had its premiere in Olomouc Museum of Art in 2009.

Thanks to more than three hundred exhibits the exhibition offers walk through the history of book culture in the 20th century. The exhibition presents not only typographic gems and bibliophile from the years 1882-1970, but also a substantial part of the museum fund "artists books", which is the most important in the Czech Republic.
