Christmas as the sixties

Stylishly decorated with a Christmas tree to the newly appeared on the exhibition Czechoslovak and Polish design 60s of the last century To Catch Up and Take Ahead.

"The interior room of Brussels we change regularly, this time we wanted  visitors of the museum energize the atmosphere of Christmas," explained exhibition curator Klára Jeništová.

The original period decorations, including the light chain and the contemporary is the wrapping paper to donors. "We wanted to show the typical Christmas late sixties and early seventies," she added Jeništová. Just by wrapping paper when it was possible to discern in advance what will be inside. Wrapping paper to each shop or company produced its own and packed goods in stores.

"All the props are authentic by Jiřina Polanecká from Prague grandmother  of author of the exhibition. Her Christmas was the same every year, "said Jeništová.

Bulbs come from Czech glass factories and due to the hand painting each piece is actually original. How Jeništová pointed out, if the market other than the Czech bulbs or absent.

The tree will remain in the exhibition at least until Epiphany. If it lasted longer, it will be there until the end of the exhibition, which runs until 24 January.

Another small tree in the window of the museum is that the exhibition Catch up and Take Ahead the Brussels room warns. Worth mentioning its decor – handmade chains of aluminum foil.
