Famous Villas of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia

This is a repeat of the successful exhibition which opened at the end of last year at the National Technical Library in Prague. At the same time, we draw upon the project Famous Villas of the Olomouc Region, which was one of the most widely visited exhibitions in 2007. By means of informative panels, rich pictorial documentation and models, the visitors are shown some 120 of the most significant buildings of family housing, which have been built since the mid-19th century. In connection with the exhibition Do Not Sit Down This Time it gives a definite idea of how important was the part that applied arts used to play and evidences that family housing should meet both functional and technical requirements while also taking into account artistic and psychological aspects.
