February 2016 is the 300th anniversary of the consecration of the Church of Our Lady of the Snow, a distinguished Baroque church in Olomouc which has been preserved in almost unchanged condition.  It is related to the activity of the Jesuit Order in the city and, at the same time, it is a University Church which is a special phenomenon in the context of Baroque Olomouc. 

The exhibition on the significance of the church in a historical and an art-historical context as well as in the context of the history of the city is even more important because we will also celebrate the 450th anniversary of the arrival of Jesuits in Olomouc as the second city in the Kingdom of Bohemia and the first city in Moravia.  

The project will deal with the church from the architectural, historical, artistic perspective and also in regard of its important role in cultural and social life. We cooperate in the project with the Roman Catholic Student Parish and Our Lady of the Snow in Olomouc.
